FoodParks sends a handful of emails tied to activity on your account: new applications, changes to your listing's status, new messages, reminders about ones you haven't read, and a weekly digest of new listings. Every one of them goes out through a scheduled run rather than the instant it's triggered, so allow a little time after whatever triggered it before it lands.
This page is about those notification emails specifically. It isn't about your one-time sign-in code — see Signing in with an email code — and the message you send through the contact form goes to the FoodParks support team, not back to you; see Contacting FoodParks support.
New applications
- Space and venue owners get an email the first time a food truck applies to their listing, naming the truck that applied. In your listing's notification preferences this is the Application received toggle.
- Truck operators get a confirmation email the first time their truck applies to a listing, letting them know the application went through. This is the Application sent toggle.
Each one is sent once per application — re-applying isn't possible anyway, since FoodParks allows only one application per truck per listing (see Trouble applying to a listing?). Both go out through a scheduled run that fires about once an hour. See Reviewing applications from trucks and Applying to a space.
Listing status changes
Space and venue owners also get two emails about their listing itself: one confirming it's in review right after they submit it, and a second once a FoodParks admin approves it and it goes live. Both are covered in detail, including their roughly-hourly schedule, in Why is my listing "Pending"?.
In your listing's notification preferences these show up as their own toggle, Listing status updates, separate from Application received above. Turning it off stops these two emails and nothing else — application emails keep coming until you turn that toggle off too.
New messages
When the other party replies in one of your application's message threads, you get an email with the new message — as long as you haven't already read it in the app first. Several messages sent back to back before you've had a chance to check them are combined into a single email rather than one per message. This is the Message received toggle, and it runs on a shorter cycle than the others: about every 30 minutes. See Your messages inbox for where those threads live, and Replying to messages from your email for replying straight from the email itself.
Unread reminders
If you still have messages sitting unread in an application thread, FoodParks sends a reminder naming how many and which listings they're on — a nudge for conversations you might have missed, not a repeat of the messages themselves. It runs roughly twice a week rather than daily. This uses the same Message received toggle as new-message emails above.
Weekly new listings
Truck operators get a weekly digest of up to three new listings in their own state that they haven't already applied to — a way to hear about opportunities without checking the map yourself. This is the Listings near you (weekly) toggle, and it goes out once a week. See Finding a space for your food truck and Searching and filtering listings for browsing on your own.
What doesn't send an email
Changing an application's status doesn't email the truck operator — Approved, Rejected and Pending alike. The status shows on the application itself, and the mobile app sends a push notification for the change. See What your application status means.
Turning these off
Every email above is covered by a toggle in your notification preferences — four toggles in all, and a few of the emails share one, as noted against each — plus the Subscribe master switch, which turns off all FoodParks email regardless of how those toggles are set. See Managing notification preferences and Unsubscribing from emails. If you expected one of these and it never arrived, see Not receiving notifications?.
