Replying to messages from your email

You can reply directly to a FoodParks message notification email and it lands in the conversation thread.

Last updated Jul 30, 2026

When someone sends you a message about an application, FoodParks emails you "You have a new message" with the text of it and a Reply to message button. Clicking that button opens the conversation on FoodParks.io — but you do not have to. Reply to the email itself, the way you would reply to any other email, and your reply is added to that same conversation without you opening FoodParks.io at all.

Just hit reply

Each message notification is already set up for its own conversation behind the scenes, so replying with your email app's normal Reply button lands your reply on the right application thread automatically. You do not need to type in an address, a subject line, or anything else — just reply.

Keep the reply addressed the way your email app set it up: do not change or remove who it is going to, and do not retype a different address into the "To" field. That address is what tells FoodParks which conversation your reply belongs to — send it somewhere else and it may not be added to the thread at all.

See Your messages inbox for where that conversation lives in your dashboard, and to check that a reply arrived.

What makes it into your reply

FoodParks reads the text of your reply and automatically strips out the quoted copy of the earlier message your email app adds below it, along with a few common mobile sign-offs like "Sent from my iPhone" or "Get Outlook for iOS/Android." You do not need to delete the quoted thread yourself.

A personal signature you have set up in your email app — your name, a phone number, a tagline — is not one of those, so it is not removed automatically. If you have one, it will appear at the end of your message in the thread, so keep your reply to just what you want the other party to see, or delete your signature before sending.

Attachments are not supported: only the text of your reply is added to the conversation, so a file attached to your reply will not appear in the thread.

If the application has been rejected

Once an application is Rejected, the conversation is closed to new messages from either side — the same as the message box in your dashboard. See Approving or rejecting an application for what Rejected does and how to reopen a conversation. A reply sent to an older notification email after that point is not added to the thread, and you will not get an error telling you it did not go through.

Not seeing a reply, or not getting these emails at all?

Whether you get a message-notification email in the first place depends on your notification preferences — see Managing notification preferences. For everything else FoodParks emails you, see Emails FoodParks sends, and if you expected a notification and it never arrived, see Not receiving notifications?.
