Every permanent listing has a Monthly Rent — the price a truck operator sees before deciding whether to apply. It's informational only: FoodParks doesn't process this rent or take a cut of it, and any payment is worked out directly between you and the truck operator.
Setting your Monthly Rent
Drag the Monthly Rent slider anywhere from $0 to $3000, in $50 increments. You set it the first time you create your listing, and can change it anytime afterward:
- Creating a listing — the slider is on the last step, alongside your contact details.
- Editing your listing — the same slider lives on your listing's Listing page once it's live.
On your listing's page
Here's what each amount looks like to a truck operator on your listing's page:
- Any amount you set between $0 and $3000 shows as that dollar figure per month.
- $0 shows as Free Rent.
- $3000, the top of the slider, shows as $3000+ per month — for spaces that rent for more than the slider goes.
Hiding your rent
If you'd rather discuss rent directly instead of listing a number, check Inquire for rent (labeled Don't show rent on the create-listing form) instead of setting a price. Truck operators then see Inquire for pricing where the amount would normally show, and can still apply to ask about it.
Temporary and event listings
Events & Catering listings don't have a Monthly Rent field at all — the listing form shows Event Date(s) instead of the rent slider. Truck operators see those dates on the listing page along with Inquire for pricing, since there is no set amount to show. FoodParks doesn't handle the payment
Whatever you charge, FoodParks never collects it or takes a cut — you and the truck operator work out rent, deposits, and terms directly once they've applied. See Does FoodParks handle payments? for the full policy.
