Nestled in the heart of Green Mountain National Forest, Chipman Inn offers a charming retreat on a bustling road. Guests can enjoy outdoor picnic tables and cozy indoor seating. We are conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from Middlebury College's Bread Loaf campus, the Long Trail, and Rikert Outdoor Center. While the nearest dining options are a 20-minute drive away in Middlebury, our inn serves as the perfect spot to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring. Many visitors inquire about lunch or dinner however we only serve breakfast for our overnight guests with our commercial kitchen. As a small team of two, we're dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming experience as innkeepers but have zero energy left for lunch and dinner service too. A food truck would be a great addition to our community especially in the summer and fall months when we are the most busy. Winter brings a steady stream of travelers on our road as well as we are just 5 min from Snow Bowl!
